Board shorts or denim shorts?pool party? - how to wear board shorts

Ok, so Im going out of my friends at the pool about half past one. Swimwear and I want to use the shortest of my bikini line because I have these very rare in both legs of the shorts. I do not know if the pants should be worn alone on board, for the party or denim shorts and a change in board shorts when I go to the pool. But I did not swim to change his pants ... and to think I and my friends that I could not swim all that we do not really want and theres going to do things there Beside swimming.
Shorts and I bloard only there, but I am afraid that this might seem strange. because I have a purple shirt on my black and pink bikini for surfing .. so im not sure how it would be.
